During the tour, we’ll see some of Athens’ most famous landmarks, including Syntagma Square, home to the Greek Parliament and the Monument of the Unknown Soldier. From the coach, admire the neoclassical architecture of the University of Athens, the Academy, and the National Library. We’ll make a quick stop at the historic Panathenaic Stadium, which hosted the first modern Olympic Games in 1896.

The tour concludes at the National Archaeological Museum, where we’ll explore its extensive collection of ancient Greek art and artifacts, including the Mask of Agamemnon, the Antikythera Mechanism, and the iconic statues of Zeus or Poseidon.

Afterward, the coach will take us to our hotel, where we will be staying for three nights.

Dinner and overnight in Athens.

After breakfast, we meet our local tour guide for a full-day exploration of Greece’s bustling capital. To avoid the crowds, we’ll enter the Acropolis early and visit key sites, including the Parthenon, the iconic temple dedicated to Athena. We’ll see the Porch of the Caryatids, walk through the Propylaea monumental gateway, visit the elegant Temple of Athena Nike, and enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of Athens from the top.

Afterward, we will explore the Roman Agora, where we’ll discover the remains of ancient shops and public buildings, learn about the historic Tower of the Winds clock tower, and admire the Gate of Athena Archegetis.

After lunch (payable locally), our city tour continues with stops at the ruins of the Temple of Olympian Zeus and Lycabettus Hill, offering stunning panoramic photo opportunities of Athens. We’ll then drive through the upscale neighborhood of Kolonaki, known for its trendy boutiques and cafés.

We’ll end the afternoon with a walking tour of the historic Plaka district, where charming narrow streets and neoclassical architecture create a picturesque setting. Here, you’ll have time to shop for souvenirs or enjoy a quick coffee at a local café.

Finally, we return to our hotel by coach.

Dinner and overnight in Athens.

After breakfast, we meet our guide and depart by coach for a scenic drive along the Apollo Coast, also known as the Athens Riviera, passing through beautiful coastal towns and breathtaking seascapes on our way to Cape Sounion. Upon arrival, we will visit the Temple of Poseidon, perched dramatically on a cliff overlooking the Aegean Sea. Here, we’ll learn about the temple’s rich history and the mythology surrounding it.

Continuing along the coast, we arrive at Anavyssos Beach for an afternoon of relaxation by the sea. Enjoy the sandy shores and crystal-clear waters, take a refreshing dip in the Aegean, or try optional activities such as snorkeling, surfing, or paddleboarding (payable locally). For lunch, savor a seaside meal at a local taverna (payable locally).

On our return journey to Athens, we may stop in Glyfada, a vibrant coastal district known for its stylish boutiques, high-end stores, and international brands, offering a perfect opportunity for a leisurely stroll and some shopping.

We then return to our hotel by coach.

After breakfast, we check out of the hotel and embark on a scenic coach journey to Volos, traveling through the Greek countryside and passing charming towns and picturesque landscapes. Upon arrival, we enjoy lunch at a local taverna (payable locally), where we can savor regional specialties such as ‘tsipouro meze’—a selection of small seafood plates and Greek delicacies, traditionally accompanied by tsipouro, the local spirit.

After lunch, we meet our local guide for an exploration of Volos, one of Greece’s most beautiful and historic port cities. Nestled at the foot of Mount Pelion, where the sea breeze blends with the mountain air, Volos is steeped in mythology as the homeland of the Centaurs and the legendary starting point of Jason and the Argonauts.

During our guided tour, we visit the Palia quarter, believed to have been continuously inhabited since 3000 BC, located at the site of ancient Iolkos. We will see the tree-shaded Rigas Feraios Square, home to the impressive Town Hall and the Municipal Theatre. Strolling along the pedestrianized Argonauts Way, we encounter the striking Argo sculpture by the harbor, created by artist Nikolas, alongside the modern-day Argo ship, a faithful reconstruction of the legendary vessel that sailed Greek waters 3,500 years ago.

The tour concludes at Goritsa Hill, where we visit the 1892-built Church of Panagia (Virgin Mary), offering breathtaking panoramic views of Volos. We will also see Panagia Trypa, a unique church built inside a cave by the sea.

After our tour, the coach takes us to our hotel, where we will be staying for two nights.

Dinner and overnight in Volos.

After breakfast, pick up your packed lunch before departing by coach for a full-day adventure in Mount Olympus National Park. Our journey begins with a brief stop at Livethra ‘Magnetic Field’ Gravity Hill, a fascinating site known for its gravitational anomaly, where cars appear to roll uphill. Take a moment to witness this optical illusion and capture the experience with photos.

We then continue to the Olympus National Park Information Centre, where we learn about the park’s trails, diverse flora, and fauna. Here, we meet our local hiking guide, who will provide a briefing on the hiking route, safety tips, and what to expect.

A short coach transfer takes us to the Monastery of Saint Dionysios of Mount Olympus, nestled in the heart of the Enipeas Gorge. We explore the historic monastery, discovering its architectural beauty and spiritual significance before beginning our hike through the scenic trails of Mount Olympus. Along the way, we stop at viewpoints offering breathtaking panoramic views of the mountains and coastline. At a designated rest spot, our guide will suggest a perfect place to enjoy our packed lunch.

Our hike (approximately 9 km / 4 hours) concludes at the Stavros Refuge, where we board the coach for our return journey to Volos.

On arrival, there will be time for lunch at a local taverna (payable locally), allowing us to enjoy the charming village atmosphere before continuing with the day’s exploration.

In the afternoon, we meet our local guide for a visit to the Archaeological Site of Delphi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site steeped in myth and history. According to legend, Zeus released two eagles from opposite ends of the world, and where they met, Delphi was declared the Navel of the Earth. From the 6th century BC to Roman times, this site was considered the most important religious sanctuary of the ancient world, drawing leaders and commoners alike to consult its famous Oracle.

The visit includes the Temple of Apollo, the sacred heart of Delphi where the Oracle once spoke. The well-preserved Theatre of Delphi offers breathtaking views of the surrounding valley, while the ancient stadium recalls the grandeur of the Pythian Games. The Treasury of the Athenians stands as a testament to the city’s devotion and prosperity.

The exploration continues at the Delphi Archaeological Museum, home to an extensive collection of artifacts, including the bronze statue of the Charioteer of Delphi and the Sphinx of Naxos.

In the late afternoon, we return by coach to Athens, arriving in time for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, we transfer by coach to the Delta Kallithea Marina in Athens to board our boat for a full-day cruise around the Athenian Riviera islands, departing at 09:45.

As soon as the boat sets sail, the day of relaxation and adventure begins. Lounge on a sun bed with a refreshing drink, soak in the warmth of the Greek sun, or hit the dance floor as the DJ plays vibrant tunes. Soft drinks, refreshments, and house wine are included, with additional options for alcoholic beverages and cocktails available.

The first stop is Agistri Island, where there is time to explore, browse local shops, walk along the scenic coastline, or take a swim. The journey then continues to Metopi Island, the highlight of the cruise, for an unforgettable swimming experience. Open-sky showers, sun beds, bean bags, and inflatable sea toys create the perfect setting to relax and enjoy the crystal-clear waters.

A Mediterranean buffet lunch is served on board while cruising towards Moni Island, an uninhabited islet near Perdika. After lunch, there is an opportunity for sightseeing before setting off to Aegina Island.
