Day 1 - Arrival Edinburgh
Upon arrival at Edinburgh Airport, meet your car and transfer to your hotel. Check-in and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Edinburgh.
Day 2 - Edinburgh
Today you have a Hop-on/off City Sightseeing Tour of Edinburgh. The capital of Scotland since the 15th Century, Edinburgh stands on seven hills creating the dramatic skyline of this lively cosmopolitan city. Compare Edinburgh's Old Town, where families lived in cramped conditions to the elegant Georgian New Town with its three main streets and a square at either end. Marvel at the impenetrable Castle Rock above you and hear about the attempts to capture Edinburgh Castle. See the Royal Mile which joins Edinburgh Castle to the Palace of Holyrood House. Stay back in the heart of the city to take in the atmosphere of the Christmas markets in East Princes Street Gardens (18thNov-25thDec) and George Street (16thNov-24thDec). These traditional and romantic Christmas Markets offer a unique shopping experience with its crafters, artists, gift shops and gastronomic treats. Inside the markets, you can also find activities such as ice skating and the Ice Adventure. Santa Land is great for families and features a Christmas Tree Maze, the Santa Train, and family-friendly rides including the Race-a-Rama, Carousel, Helter Skelter, Ice Wall, Reindeer Ride, Crazy Cars and a Rollercoaster. Day 3 - Loch Ness, Glen Coe, Highlands
Board your mini-coach and get ready for a day of adventure with your guide. As you head towards the Highlands you'll see the amazing Forth Railway Bridge, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enjoy the stunning scenery as you travel through the spectacular and unique wilderness of the Cairngorms National Park. Loch Ness is famously all over the world for its beauty and mystery. We stop here for lunch and 'monster spotting' Glen Coe is broodingly beautiful and steeped in history. As you stand at the mouth of the glen, you'll feel the past come to life as our guide tells you about the terrible massacre of the MacDonald Clan. The route takes you driving past the beautiful city of Stirling and its stunning castle and you will be able to learn more about the exploits of William Wallace that were dramatized in the film Braveheart. Overnight in Edinburgh.
Day 4 - Edinburgh-Glasgow
After breakfast, your driver will pick you up and take you to the train station. Board your train and relax during the hourlong journey from the Scottish capital to Scotlands largest metropolis. Upon arrival, your driver will take you to your hotel. Once you’ve dropped your bags, time now for a Hop-on/off City Sightseeing Tour of Glasgow. From the top deck of the tour bus, you will be amazed by the beautiful landscapes and exceptional architecture that this city has to offer. Hop off the tour bus and visit the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum showcasing striking exhibitions in 22 themed modern galleries, this cultural treasure trove is one of the largest museums in the UK. Why not visit another one of Glasgow’s leading attractions; located at Glasgow Harbour you will be amazed as you explore the last remaining Clyde built sailing ship. The Tall Ship provides you with a fascinating history and represents an impressive independent museum dedicated to the preservation of the Glenlee. Overnight Glasgow.
Day 5 - Glasgow
Today you have the whole day to take in the atmosphere of the Christmas markets in St Enoch Square (dates to be advised) and George Square (dates to be confirmed). These traditional and romantic Christmas Markets offer a unique shopping experience with its crafters, artists, gift shops and gastronomic treats. The George Square market hosts a traditional carousel, the iconic Big Wheel and family-focused street entertainment. Extend your stay to be able to experience more of Glasgow and its Christmas markets. Don’t forget to catch up on shopping along the Style Mile and in the Merchant City. Overnight Glasgow.
Day 6 - Departure
Bid farewell to Glasgow as your transfer takes you to the airport.
