Day 1 - Arrival Edinburgh
Upon arrival at Edinburgh Airport/Train Station, meet your car and transfer to your hotel. Check-in and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Edinburgh.
Day 2 - Edinburgh City Tour
Today you have a Hop-on/off City Sightseeing Tour of Edinburgh. The capital of Scotland since the 15th Century, Edinburgh stands on seven hills creating the dramatic skyline of this lively cosmopolitan city. Compare Edinburgh's Old Town, where families lived in cramped conditions to the elegant Georgian New Town with its three main streets and a square at either end. Marvel at the impenetrable Castle Rock above you and hear about the attempts to capture Edinburgh Castle. See the Royal Mile which joins Edinburgh Castle to the Palace of Holyrood House. Stay back in the heart of the city to take in the atmosphere of the Christmas markets in East Princes Street Gardens (18thNov-6thJan) and George Street (17thNov-24thDec). These traditional and romantic Christmas Markets offer a unique shopping experience with its crafters, artists, gift shops and gastronomic treats. Inside the markets, you can also find activities such as ice skating and the Ice Adventure. Santa Land is great for families and features a Christmas Tree Maze, the Santa Train, and family-friendly rides including the Race-a-Rama, Carousel, Helter Skelter, Ice Wall, Reindeer Ride, Crazy Cars and a Rollercoaster. Overnight in Edinburgh.
Day 3 - Extend your stay or depart
Extend your stay to be able to experience more of Edinburgh’s Christmas markets. You may also want to take an excursion to Loch Ness and the Highlands or to Stirling Castle and the Glengoyne Distillery. Otherwise, bid farewell to Edinburgh as your transfer takes you to the airport/train station.
